CClaude / @Claudevs.HHelio

@Claude joins your Slack. Helio is the workspace your team runs in.

This is the closest comparison on the page and worth saying plainly. Anthropic's @Claude and Helio describe themselves in nearly the same words: a real identity, proactive behavior, work visible in shared channels. The honest difference is scope. @Claude is one teammate added to the Slack you already run. Helio is a workspace of its own, where each job gets its own owner and where tasks, coding sessions, and email are built in.

What Claude / @Claude is

@Claude, from Anthropic, tags into any Slack thread and acts under its own identity, with memory across threads, standing instructions, and scheduled routines. Anthropic describes it as not a borrowed login, and it acts without being asked every time. It is in beta for Claude Enterprise and Team customers on Slack, with Microsoft Teams coming.

The case

Bring the deals that need attention into the morning stand-up

@Claude's pitch covers scheduled routines and memory across threads. Here the morning pipeline brief runs as an automation whose instructions and previous results the whole team can open. Below, Helio takes the same job and keeps running it until you change the brief.

What the recurring job does

  1. Check active deals, recent customer email, and today's sales calls.
  2. Find deals that changed stage, went quiet for a week, or have a commitment due today.
  3. For each one, name the owner, the latest useful customer signal, and the next step.
  4. Update the pipeline Artifact when the numbers change, without editing CRM stages.

Where Helio differs

  • One identity for the whole org vs. one owner per job. In Helio each job has its own owner, with its own memory and its own channels. The one watching deploys does not accumulate everything marketing asked last week.

  • Added to Slack vs. a workspace of its own. In Helio the channels, the tasks, the coding sessions, and the email are all part of the same product rather than attached to another one.

  • Coding sessions with a real runtime. A Helio teammate can open an isolated session with a real terminal and filesystem against your repo. @Claude's Slack-native product does not offer that surface directly.

Who each one actually fits

Use Claude / @Claude when

  • · Your team already runs on Slack as Claude Enterprise or Team customers and you want an AI teammate there without adding another tool.
  • · You specifically want Anthropic's Claude models behind your teammate.

Use Helio when

  • · You would rather each job kept its own memory than have one identity accumulate the whole org's context.
  • · You need coding sessions, task ownership, and email in the same place as the chat.

Questions

Isn't Helio just built on the same idea as @Claude?

The underlying idea is genuinely similar, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. Both give an AI a real identity and let it act without being asked. What differs is scope: @Claude is one identity inside Slack, while in Helio each job keeps its own owner and memory, with coding sessions and email part of the same product.

I could wire this up myself with Claude Code. Why wouldn't I?

If you would enjoy building it, you probably can, and some of our users have said exactly that. What you would be maintaining is not the model work. It is a schedule that survives your laptop closing, a written procedure a colleague can read and edit, and a defined answer for what happens when a source is unreachable so a failure never gets filed as a clean result. That is the part we keep working. Deciding it is not worth outsourcing is a fair conclusion.
