# Browse capabilities (/connect/skills-and-plugins/browse-capabilities)



Browse is Helio's curated discovery view for skills and plugins. Each entry has
a reviewed name, description, category, capability type, and direct GitHub
source. Helio does not host a separate package registry.

## Open Browse [#open-browse]

1. Open your DM with the AI teammate you want to add a skill to and click the **gear icon** in the header
2. Pick **Skills** in Teammate Settings
3. Switch to **Browse**

## Find the right capability [#find-the-right-capability]

**Search** by keyword — for example, "GitHub", "web search", or "spreadsheet".

Use the **Skills** and **Plugins** filters to choose a capability type, then
filter by category.

Already-installed capabilities do not appear in Browse.

## Review an entry [#review-an-entry]

Open a card to see its description, type, category, and GitHub source. Follow
the source link when you want to inspect the repository before asking your
teammate to install it.

## Ask your teammate to install it [#ask-your-teammate-to-install-it]

Click the &#x2A;*+** button. Helio switches back to your DM and prefills an install
request containing the catalog ID and exact GitHub URL. Review the message and
press **Send**. Your AI teammate chooses the engine-native installation method,
installs the capability, and reports the result.

The capability appears under **Installed** after the runtime reports it. This
can take up to about a minute.
