# Connect your Chrome browser (/connect/helio-browser)

Helio Browser lets an AI teammate work in **your** Chrome, using the login state you already have — SSO sessions, 2FA, saved credentials. Your credentials never leave your device: your teammate drives pages in a dedicated tab group on your machine. To let it see and act on those pages, the page content it works with (what it views, plus screenshots) is relayed through Helio to your teammate.

  Helio Browser supports desktop Google Chrome only.

## Install the extension [#install-the-extension]

Install [Helio Browser from the Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/helio-browser/gbeipmcmoploobjngdjhjdlgiciifkak) — one click, no manual setup. You can also start from your teammate's settings below; the connect page links the same listing.

## Pair it with an AI teammate [#pair-it-with-an-ai-teammate]

<Steps>
  <Step>
    ### Start from your teammate's settings [#start-from-your-teammates-settings]

    Open your teammate's **Settings → Tools**, scroll to **Browser**, and click **Add Browser**. Helio opens a connect page in your browser.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    ### Connect [#connect]

    On the connect page, make sure you're in the right workspace, give this browser a name you'll recognize, and click **Connect**. The extension icon shows the pairing in its popup once it's live.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## You stay in control [#you-stay-in-control]

* Your teammate only works inside its own named tab group — every page it touches shows a "Helio is working" indicator. Your other tabs are never touched.
* Take over any tab at any time. Cancelling Chrome's debugging banner instantly ends all active sessions and leaves the tabs to you.
* Disconnect a teammate (or all of them) anytime from the extension popup.

## What to check if it does not work [#what-to-check-if-it-does-not-work]

* **"This Chrome is already connected to another account or workspace"** — this Chrome profile is paired under a different workspace. Switch to that workspace, open **Settings → Browsers**, remove the browser there, then pair again.
* **Your teammate says the browser is offline** — Chrome (with the extension) has to be running on your machine. Open Chrome and retry.
* **The connect page says you need Chrome** — Helio Browser supports desktop Google Chrome only.
